Neither is required, but comfort with spreadsheets helps. If you already know SQL the modelling module will come faster, because a star schema is a database design idea before it is a Power BI one.
Because they skip the modelling module. Almost every DAX problem is a model problem: the wrong relationship, no date table, or the wrong grain. That is why modelling comes before DAX here rather than after.
In Mumbai, Power BI, by a wide margin. It is bundled with Microsoft 365, which most companies already pay for, and it is what the job postings ask for. The modelling and visualisation concepts carry over if you later need Tableau.
Power BI Desktop is free and is where all the building happens, so yes for the whole course. Publishing and sharing need a Pro licence; we cover what that involves and demonstrate it, so you know what to ask your workplace for.
MIS executive, business analyst and reporting analyst roles ask for it by name, and it is a common add-on requirement for finance and operations positions. Pairing it with SQL is what moves you from report builder to analyst.
